Weekly Service: Jaq Quanbeck “Celebrating the Holidays”

At this time of the year, there are many holidays to celebrate. For many of us, that early experience influences how we celebrate, or don’t, today. For me, the primary experience was a celebration of Norwegian traditions, as my mother and all 4 grandparents came from Norway. So it was the food, the music, the decorations with the magic of a lighted Christmas tree, and the stories told around the table, as well as celebrating the birth of Jesus at late night church services. Yes, there were gifts we looked forward to— in our financially stretched household, I might have received a box of Animal Crackers and a pair of pajamas. We invite you to share your memories, and whether those traditions have continued.

This is a joint service with BAH at 12 pm.
